Rev. Erica Evans Whitaker
Erica Whitaker is a Texas native. She along with her husband Josh moved from Dallas, TX in September 2016. She served for two years as a Pastoral Resident at Wilshire Baptist Church. Erica earned a Master of Divinity degree from Baylor University George W. Truett Theological Seminary and holds a Bachelor of Arts & Sciences from the University of North Texas where she majored in Radio, Television and Film with a minor in French. During her time at Truett, Erica served as a Resident Chaplain for Methodist Health Systems in Dallas, a special education teacher for Arlington ISD and Outreach Minister at Agape Baptist Church in Fort Worth. Erica has been married to Josh since 2011 and they have two furry children named Fred and Lucy. She is an avid reader of just about anything, loves going to the movies and sitting on her back porch with a cup of coffee.

Rev. Sara Clarke Turpin
Associate Pastor for Spiritual Formation
Sara joined the Buechel Park Baptist staff in March 2013, having previously served as a youth minister for almost four years at Melbourne Heights Baptist Church in Louisville. She graduated from Georgetown College (BA in Religion & BS in Business Administration, 2009) and Baptist Seminary of Kentucky (Master of Divinity, 2013) and has completed one unit of Clinical Pastoral Education. Sara has been both a Cooperative Baptist Fellowship (CBF) Scholar and Fellow, served on CBF's Current Leadership Team, and preached at the Academy of Preachers. She currently serves on the CBF Kentucky Coordinating Council as chair of the Ministries Work Group and is a contributor to Youth Ministry Conversations' blog and Bible study resource. Sara is married to Neal and enjoys spending time with her family and friends, playing the flute, and working out at the YMCA. Sara and Neal are expecting their first child in early 2017.

David Allen Lindsay
Minister of Music
Born in Norfolk, Virginia and lived in the Tidewater area until going to college, David has always been involved in church music and cannot remember a time when he was not singing in a choir!
While attending Carson-Newman University, he served several churches as part-time music director. Upon graduation, he became Minister of Music and Youth at Deep Creek Baptist Church in Chesapeake, Va., serving there for two years. David was then was called as Minister of Music and Youth at Monument Heights Baptist Church in Richmond, VA. While at Monument Heights, he also was a member of the Virginia Baptist Chorale, made up of Ministers of Music from throughout Virginia.
David also served as Minister of Music at First United Methodist Church of Hopewell, VA. For several years directing the Chancel Choir and hand bell. He has had the privilege of singing with a number of groups including the Baltimore Symphony Chorus and Chorale, the Kentucky Opera Chorus and the Indiana University Community Chorus.
For the past two and half-years, he was the music director at Hopewell Presbyterian Church in Jeffersontown, KY. David worked for Yum! Brands for nearly 30 years and is currently a business consultant and teacher in the Workforce Solutions Department of Jefferson Community Technical College.

Leigh joined the Buechel Park Baptist Church staff in May 2014. She brings extensive experience as a conference and meeting planner/senior administrative assistant to BPBC.

Parents' Day Out Director
Nicole began working at Parents Day Out in May 2000. She became the Program Director in 2004. Nicole graduated from Sullivan University in 2013 with an Associate of Science Degree in Early Childhood Education, The Professional Nanny Diploma, and has earned the Kentucky Early Childhood Director's Credential Certificate. She loves working with young children and seeing the world through their eyes.

Les joined BPBC's staff in January 2017 as part-time facilities manager. When not at the church, he is a high school football coach and owner of Main Street Construction.
