Music
Music is an important part of worship at Buechel Park. We use a variety of music in worship: traditional, gospel, hymns, contemporary anthems, choral, and instrumental. The Buechel Park Adult Choir leads in worship each week providing a variety of anthems, choral introits, and benedictions. The Handbell Choir performs for special occasions and all church members are invited to share their musical gifts in worship through solos and ensembles. The Adult Choir sings Christmas and Easter Cantatas annually and provides entertainment for our Christmas Extravaganza.

Musicians:
Brittany Krebs (Minister of Music)
Brittany joined the Buechel Park Baptist staff in June 2010. Previously she taught middle school choir at Irondale Middle School and was the Children’s Choir Director at Baptist Church of the Covenant in Birmingham, AL. Brittany graduated from Samford University in 2008 with a Bachelor of Music Education degree with an Honor in Vocal Performance. Brittany is currently pursuing her Master of Divinity degree at Baptist Seminary of Kentucky. Brittany and her husband Kyle live in Georgetown, KY. Brittany enjoys reading, cuddling with her cat, Larkin, watching baseball, spending time with her family, and of course music!
Kevin Vest (organist)
Kevin joined the Buechel Park staff summer 2007. Kevin has been playing the organ in churches since 1990 serving at Emmanuel Baptist Church in Jefferson City, TN; West Hills Baptist Church, Knoxville, TN; and St. Matthew's Baptist Church, Louisville, KY. Kevin graduated from Carson-Newman College with a B.A. Religion and Psychology. He studied organ all four years of college under noted organist and composer, Mary Charlotte Ball. Kevin has two children, Matthew (age 9) and Michaela (age 5).
Brenda McDade (pianist)
Brenda joined the Buechel Park staff in February 2010. Previously, she was the pianist at Midlane Park Baptist Church. Brenda started taking piano lessons when she was 7. She studied piano as a Music Major at the University of Kentucky for 2 1/2 years. She enjoys spending time with her son Tommy and two young grandsons. Brenda works full time as a receptionist at a Debt Restructuring Firm in downtown Louisville.
