Easter
Easter is the celebration of Christ’s resurrection, for in his rising we rise to new life. The Easter season is fifty (50) days long, concluding on Pentecost. The color of this season is white and gold, joyous and festive colors.
The symbols of the season are:
- Easter Lily: a beautiful flower that emerges from a seemingly dead bulb buried in the ground
- Crown: used to denote sovereignty and kingship, as well as victory
- Paschal Candle: this candle symbolizes Christ, the Light of the world
